Jeremy Barlow

Jeremy's Stage Combat career began as a student to Equity Fight Director and APC Examiner Andrew Ashenden, the fight master of Guildford School of Acting. He graduated from GSA as one of the broadest qualified stage combatants in the college's history, with BADC certificates including 6 single weapon specialisations and a recommendation with examiners star at advanced level.

Jeremy then went on to apprentice RWCMD (Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama) fight master Kevin Mccurdy for two and a half arduous years before completing his teachers exam. He is now proud to be a founder member of the Academy of Performance Combat. During his training Jeremy was lucky enough to be influenced by some great Stage Combat teachers, special mention should go to Renny Kuprinski, Ian McCracken, Seb Morgan and John Greenwood, one of the founders of the Society of British Fight Directors.

Jeremy regularly runs his own workshops as well as tailoring courses to the needs of various youth theatre groups and schools around the country. He has taught at a growing number of drama schools including GSA, RWCMD, The Bridge Theatre Training Company, BADA and the Oxford School of Drama. He has also taught two years running at the Cardiff Combat workshop at St. Donats Castle, Wales.
